This recipe came from Uncle Jim and Aunt Brenda. Fudge was always my Dad's favorite.
Step 1
In a heavy saucepan melt chocolate chips with condensed milk and salt over low heat.
Step 2
Remove from heat, stir in nuts (optional), and vanilla. Spread evenly into wax paper line 8 or 9 inch square pan.
Step 3
Chill for 2 hours, or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel off paper and cut into squares. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.
