A week ago today we started looking at houses, and today we’re placing our first offer! We’ve looked at hundreds of homes online, as well about ten in person. Of those ten there were a small few that we seriously considered but based on all the factors we feel like we’ve found a really good fit. I’ll hold off on descriptions until I see how things turn out, but the offer has officially been submitted and we’re asking for a response within the next 24 hours. I will say that its up in the same neighborhood we’ve been looking in, which I’ve come to find out consists of parts of four different cities: Bothell, Mill Creek, Everett, and Snohomish. In our case with this house, we’d be in Snohomish, but its all part of the same school district, which is one of the best in the state.
This is definitely an exciting time for us, but we’re trying to take it in stride. Obviously we’ll be very excited if we get this house, but at the same time if it doesn’t work out we won’t be devastated. There’s so much out there that I have no doubt we’re going to find something soon. This is our first time buying a home so its been so nice to have Carol and Julie helping us through the process. Not having to worry about your mortgage broker or your real estate agent is a huge relief.
