Carol's Hunters Casserole

This is one of Aunt Carol's favorite dishes. She made this for us when Elise was born and we loved it. Even Ava couldn't get enough. To this day she's never liked chicken as much as she did with this dish.

Instructions

Step 1
Cook rice according to directions; set aside.

Step 2
Drain mushrooms and water chestnuts. Saute onion, mushrooms, and water chestnuts in butter for 2 minutes.

Step 3
Cook broccoli according to package directions. Add broccoli to sauteed veggies and add cheez-whiz (while hot).

Step 4
Drain rice and add to veggies with cream of mushroom soup. Add chicken and mix well.

Step 5
Bake covered in a casserole dish, topped with paprika, for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
